Greenbrier, AR – (Saturday, March 15, 2025) – The 9th annual Miss Greenbrier Pageant was a spectacular celebration of confidence, beauty, and poise, as contestants took the stage at the Greenbrier High School Fine Arts Center. All of the amazing participants radiated grace, charm and kindness as they, along with their families also participated in a friendly cereal drive competition.

Cereal makes for a perfect contribution to the food pantries due to several reasons. It is kid-friendly, versatile, easy to prepare, and has a long shelf life. By donating cereal, it helps ensure that children have an essential, easy-to-use, nutritious start to their day, which can improve focus and performance at school.

Over 1200 boxes were collected that will directly impact the district’s food pantries and will help fight food insecurity.

The 2024 Young Miss Greenbrier, Kimber Jones, and General Manager Reece Hancock from McLarty Honda of Little Rock also contributed to the cause, by graciously surprising everyone at the event with a generous donation of $1000 for the purchase of additional cereal and support for the food pantries. We appreciate McLarty Honda of Little Rock for their commitment to Greenbrier Public Schools.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton made a significant impact by sponsoring the program and awarding the Miss Greenbrier, Bonnie Permenter a $1000 scholarship, while the first runner-up, Emery Weser received a $500 scholarship. Additionally, First Service Bank awarded Miss Greenbrier a $500 scholarship. We deeply appreciate these investments in the education and aspirations of our contestants. Bonnie shares, "I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be the 2025 Miss Greenbrier! The Miss Greenbrier pageant was such a wonderful experience that allowed me to meet the sweetest girls and hear their goals in life. The pageant is a fantastic opportunity for women to showcase their poise and elegance and share their accomplishments as well as dreams for their future." Bonnie will be furthering her education and attending the Salon Professional Academy in April.
