The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce is excited to launch a grant for the Greenbrier area and encouraging all businesses with brick and mortar locations to apply. "Beyond benefiting individual businesses, attractive brick and mortar locations play a vital role in the overall economic health of a community. When multiple local businesses invest in creating visually appealing spaces, it elevates our community as a whole" shares Chamber President, Ashton Pruitt.
The purpose of the grants are to aid local businesses in our area, an opportunity to implement a beautification project. Funds will be allocated to businesses that want to invest in an outside facelift that benefits not only our community, but your customers aesthetically. Studies show that an elevated storefront can also drive foot traffic, an essential factor for any brick-and-mortar business. A well-designed exterior can make a passersby stop in their tracks, encouraging spontaneous visits. Whether it’s through inviting window displays or vibrant signage, your storefront acts as a silent salesperson that works around the clock to bring in new customers. This increased foot traffic often translates into higher sales, as a great first impression can lead to more in-store purchases.
Example of projects are: A new professional sign, fresh coat of paint, landscaping, cleanup, junk removal, fencing, stucco, brick facade, awning, etc.
This is a matching grant up to $2,000. Copies of your bid or quote must be approved through the chamber. We encourage grant recipients to do business with other chamber members when seeking bids for their project. Payment will be given on work completed via invoice. If your business is chosen, more details of this process will follow.
Ashton adds, "The first impression you make on potential customers begins with the exterior of your shop. A well-maintained, visually appealing storefront not only attracts attention but also helps build trust and credibility with your audience. When people see that you care about the details of your business, they’re more likely to believe you care about the quality of your products or services as well. We are excited to partner with our businesses in the area who want to elevate their presence in the community."
Funding for this grant opportunity was made possible by the Hawks Family Foundation's generous contribution to the Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce. The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce board is proud to reinvest in our local business community for the overall health of Greenbrier.
Businesses have until February 28, 2025 to apply and will be announced at the annual Chamber Banquet on March 13, 2025.
